Summmmmmmer!!

Catch-up time!!
March was birthday time!!  We did a combined party this year for all three boys...it was a carnival theme and it was so sweet.  I think everyone had a great time!  My babies are growing up too fast!! Oliver is 6, Everett is 4, and Henry turned 1.

We also took a short vacation to Indianapolis.  It was so fun!  Anytime the boys get to sleep at a hotel is a treat, and we maximized the hotel pool and breakfast buffet.  We explored the Indianapolis children's museum one day, and the next day we hit the zoo. We also tried a restaurant that was on the food network's show "diner's drive-ins and dives"--which actually was more of a dive, unfortunately!!  But it was fun to try!

April's highlight was my trip to Charleston, South Carolina for the annual girl's trip! My grandma, aunt, mom, and niece came (and Henry was our tag-along!! haha).  It was such a wonderful trip, I cannot extol all the merits and wonderful-ness of Charleston in this blog post!!  Let's just say, we had a beautiful condo, just steps from the ocean, with a patio facing the beach.  It was absolutely perfect!  Everyday we spent walking and playing on the beach...and the best part was there weren't very many people on the beach--sometimes we were the only ones!  One night we took a night walk, we were all alone, and the tide was so low and there were storm clouds coming in...it was so dark and spooky, but sooo beautiful and memorable!  Also, going into the city of Charleston was like going back in time.  There are too many amazing mansions to see and such interesting history everywhere to explore.  We took a carriage ride through the city one day, and we drove out to some old plantations another day.  We ate yummy southern food and enjoyed every moment!!

May's highlights included of course Mother's Day (my favorite holiday of the year, besides Christmas), and then the most major thing was that Aaron graduated from ODU with his MBA!!  It was a wonderful, extremely happy and relieving day!  Aaron has worked so unbelievably hard for this, and I have to say it was no walk in the park for me, either :).  I'm so hopeful for this next phase of our life!!  Also, my little sister Natalie had her baby girl on Mother's Day!  You can't plan those things!!  Just perfect timing :)

June has been filled with Henry being almost constantly sick with ear infection/sinus infection stuff.  But that hasn't held us back from going and doing some fun summer things--swimming at the pool alot, and going to parks, etc.!  We've had such fun with family at various birthday gatherings and father's day celebrations!  I'm so grateful to be close to our family!  And now, I'm officially caught up :)
